flux density bootstrapping (mfboot, gpboot, plboot)
gpboot - flux density bootstrapping mfboot - performs analagous function to gpboot, but for planets plboot - obsolete, superceded by mfboot It would be great to have a consistent and up-to-date description of these tasks on the web and within miriad. If plboot is obsolete (wrong ?) then this should...

Re: Uranus flux calibration
Hi Jamie,
can you us an idea how much the flux of Uranus would change depending on its pole position ?
I assume we know how the flux varies with distance from Earth, but this effect then introduces
an additional uncertainty.

Re: Calibrator Database
The issue of polarisation calibrators at cm wavelength has come up; maybe this is also an issue at mm-wavelength. Do we have a set of standard polarisation calibrators ? Are these monitored or do these need to be monitored ? The source 3C286 is often used as the main polarisation calibrator, but I b...

TVCHAN settings affect your data
tvchan settings in CACOR / CABB define the channel range over which data is averaged and passed to CAOBS and VIS. Most importantly, the selected channel range is also used to generate the Tsys values in the RPFITS file headers. Note: Different channel ranges are recommended for the 20cm and 13cm ba...
