Hi Brodie, if you have poor uv coverage, using channelised data will help fill the uv plane using multi frequency synthesis. If you average first, you loose this extra coverage. There was an attempt to get the Miriad opacity code into CASA 5 years ago, but it doesn't look like it is easily accessible from the user level. The atcafiller tool has an opacities function, but I'm not sure how to get the corresponding Tsky...

I must admit I don't quite understand what the code is trying to do here, but I slapped on a patch and now it exits when there is no unflagged data left.
Let me know if you notice any other issues.

Hi Rami,

I think the best way is to compare different sources.
Circular polarisation is rare, so if all sources have a small but similar percentage V it is likely to be leakage, but if one source stands out it is probably real.
