Hi Stacy,
This may not be the problem, but I'd try dropping the "stokes=ii" part for now, as it doesn't really make much sense with mfcal (it needs to determine bandpass and gain solutions for all the products that it finds anyway, and doesn't know anything about polarisation).

Hi Stacy,
What other options have you set in mfcal?

Re: Segmentation fault for kvis
Hi Steve, I think that's probably where you went awry slightly. You see, in the x86_64_Darwin-15.5 directory, there is a symbolic link "share" which points to "../share". But since you actually want it to go to "/usr/local/karma-1.7.20/share" where the file is, the font...

Re: Accurate bandpasss/flux calibration at 7mm
Hi, We do recommend now that 1934-638 be used at 7mm, as its flux density scale is much better than Uranus in that band now. But since you probably didn't make an observation of 1934-638 during your observations, we'll stick with Uranus. We'll answer the easy secondary question first: omitting qusol...

Re: Pgflag: All channels dim every 30 seconds?
Hi Anita, My first thought is RFI. If there is strong RFI, then the Tsys of the system might increase, which would cause the correlator to reduce the amplitude of the data, since it assumes that the Tsys is not affected by narrow-band emission. If this RFI occurred every 60 seconds, but lasted for l...

Re: restor: beam fit failed
I'm not sure I know what you mean by "output to some variables", since no Miriad task does this. Do you mean to a log file? Or are you trying to use mirpy and the output isn't being stored? If you can be a bit more specific about what you'd like we'll try to help. Generally, I use Perl for...

Re: Invert Error:No visibilities to map
The most common reason for this behaviour is setting invert's "slop" parameter too low. By default, invert requires that all channels in the visibility are good, or else the visibility will be rejected. I recommend that you set "slop=0.5" to see if this solves your problem.

Re: Calibrating using two different phase calibrators
Hi Jordan, As for phase calibration, we'd ideally interpolate between the bracketing scans using the two phase calibrators. Is this possible? Technically, it is easy to do with gpcopy (mode=merge). But realistically, it isn't going to help. There is no reason to expect that the phase on a calibrator...

Re: MFCLEAN and wideband imaging
Hi Sara,
MFCLEAN could always make a full band image at 2.1 GHz, but it still doesn't support spectral curvature maps. If you expect much spectral curvature in your images, we can't recommend using MFCLEAN.
