Hi Kingsley,
Can you please provide us an example of what you mean by "square tile edges"? I am afraid I don't know what you're referring to.

Re: 15mm calibration question
Hi Tim, Great! Just for clarity, in the case of 1934 as my phase calibrator I would still gpcopy the 'flux correct' 0534 to it and proceed as normal (ie. gpcal then gpcopy to science source)? Yes. Will do. One thought I had was to increase the number of nfbin's used throughout the reduction. Using 2...

Re: 15mm calibration question
Hi Tim, It sounds like you've nailed the process exactly how I would have done it. Once you've done the uvfmeas and recalibration stage, 0537-441 becomes a flux density calibrator just like 1934-638 is. Let us know how you go. If you run into trouble, there are some things in the process you may be ...

Re: Memory size issue with INVERT?
Hi Craig,
Why are you trying to image larger than the beam in a mosaic? That's what the mosaic is for.

Re: Deleting calibration tables
Hi Stuart,
These are the frequency-dependent gain and leakage tables, which are generated by gpcal if you specify nfbins to be anything higher than 1.
Yes, they should be mentioned in the section of the manual you identified - thanks for the suggestion!

Re: General calibration recipe + nfbin questions
Hi Tim, My first question, in the case where 1934 is not only used for bandpass/flux density calibration but also phase, what is the best way to calibrate the data? Is there any need to break the data into two parts - one for the bandpass/flux density where there was 10 minutes of straight time on s...

Re: 1934 at 11GHz
Hi Tim, The feedhorn response above 11 GHz is pretty bad, and I've never been able to recover anything useful from the data that high in frequency, at least with CA01,2,4 and 6. CA03 and 5 have different feedhorns that do respond well to frequencies above 11 GHz. Unfortunately, it's hard to make a g...

Re: 2 IFs , any advantage
No, the data in the two IFs should be identical, save for some scaling and digital noise, which won't average away over more than a single cycle.

Re: Phase jump on CA03
Hi Andrew, This is the CA03 phase jump problem, and it has been around for quite some time, although it got much worse in the latter half of 2014. It was quite resistant to our efforts to fix it, although we think we finally found the problem mid-Feb 2015 and replaced the faulty parts. Anyway, the p...

Re: Converting Miriad data into MeasurementSet form
Hi Mickael,
It should be noted that uv2ms is only available in the 64 bit Linux version of Miriad. Are you using the 32 bit Linux version by any chance?
