PGFLAG on UVCATed data

Post by and460 »

Hi guys,

Quick question about how PGFLAG works on UVCATed data.

After UVCATing data from a couple of different epochs, running PGFLAG will cause the data to be displayed in the plot window for flagging. However, I only ever see the data from the first epoch in this window - there is space in the plot device directly above the first epoch on the time axis, but it is all blank. Presumably this has to do with how UVCAT merges the data sets.

My question is this: If I run the sumthreshold flagging on this UVCATed data, will only the data visible in the plot window (i.e. 1 epoch only) be flagged? Or will the 'off screen data' from the other epoch be flagged by the routine too?

Hi Craig,

I think the common reason for this happening is if the data was uvcated out of time order. Make sure to specify the datasets to uvcat in time order, earliest first.

If this isn't the cause please give me a link to the data.
