Hi guys,
All of a sudden when I try to run a mirsync, it fails. I get:
$ mirsync -u and460
Updating Miriad files from the ATNF master at
and460@venice.atnf.csiro.au:/nfs/atapplic/miriad/...
and460@venice.atnf.csiro.au's password:
/usr/local/bin/rsync: Command not found.
rsync: connection unexpectedly closed (0 bytes received so far) [receiver]
rsync error: error in rsync protocol data stream (code 12) at /SourceCache/rsync/rsync-42/rsync/io.c(452) [receiver=2.6.9]
moriarty:~ craigandersonacc2$
rsync works perfectly for other tasks on my machine. Any idea what might be going on here? I have recently ceased to become a CSIRO student - I thought it might be possible that my account got removed from the system, but this really doesn't seem to be what the error message says. Any ideas?

Re: MIRSYNC fails
Hi Craig,
yes I get the same message - it appears that something has changed on venice. There used to be an rsync in /usr/local/bin and this is the one mirsync requests, but it has disappeared.
Venice was updated last month, so that is probably when the change happened.
I've put in a link to the new rsync location and now it seems to work again, so give it another try.
Cheers,
Mark
