position angle convention in miriad

Hi,

Not strictly data reduction, but does anyone have a definitive answer for how position angles are measured in miriad?

I am using ellplt to try and identify the position angle of neighbouring sources from a reference source. The comment in the ellplt header is that North = 0, but the answers I get only make sense is if the position angles are measured clockwise from East.
