hi
for some data being reduced using miriad, i'm using gpcal. when the calibrator is known i get
### Informational: Source is a recognised flux calibrator
when it is not known i get
### Warning: It is unwise to omit OPTION=QUSOLVE when flux is unknown
my problem is that they are both for 1934-638. the second one is listed as B1934-638 so it doesn't know that the data are for the same object.
how should i handle this. is it even a problem?
thanking you in advance
pete

Re: gpcal and primary calibrators
Hi Pete,
probably the best thing to do is to change the source name for B1934-638 back to 1934-638 using uvputhd.
assuming you have split the data into single source file something like this would do the trick:
uvputhd vis=b1934.uv hdvar=source varval=1934-638 out=1934.uv
Cheers,
Mark
