Dear All,
I have been using UVMODEL to subtract a sky model from my visibility. However, in order to do so, one needs to first apply the calibration solutions using a task such as UVCAT. Over the past year and a bit this has worked fine, however I recently upgraded my version of MIRIAD, and am now getting the following error:
> ### Fatal Error: Variable sfreq is missing, in UVREAD
This missing variable error is associated only with the UVCAT data output, if I use the original visibility data set then the error does not arise.
I could try using another task to apply the calibration solutions to the visibilities, however it would be nice to get to the bottom of the problem,
Many thanks,
James

Re: Error using UVMODEL for UVCAT visibility data
Hi James,
thanks for your report. There have been a few changes to uvcat over the last few months, so I'll have a look to see if I can track down and fix the problem.
In the mean time I suggest you use uvaver (with interval=0) to apply the calibration.
Cheers,
Mark

Re: Error using UVMODEL for UVCAT visibility data
Hi James,
uvcat has now been fixed. For somewhat mysterious reasons the sfreq variable is marked as never updating in some files, this lead uvcat to omit it from the output. I've now forced it to be written at least once. The new version should appear tomorrow.
Cheers,
Mark
