Hi Mark and Jamie, et al.,
I'm trying to calibrate some 16cm continuum data that has observations over a timespan > 12 hours.
I do a usual mfcal, gpcal on 1934-638:
mfcal vis=1934-638.2100 refant=4 interval=0.1 options=interpolate
gpcal vis=1934-638.2100 refant=4 interval=0.1 options=xyvary nfbin=16
I then gpcopy to the secondary, 2333-528 and run a gpcal on that:
gpcal vis=2333-528.2100 refant=4 interval=0.1 options=xyvary,qusolve nfbin=16
This worked for the first day, but the second day (and possibly others) were longer, with observations > 12 hours.
Is there a way to make gpcopy forget about the 720 minute limit here?
I tried :
puthd in=2333-528.2100/tolerance value=900
but got this:
puthd% go
puthd: Revision 1.3, 2011/09/15 05:53:36 UTC
New item tolerance created with datatype integer
### Fatal Error: End of file detected
Or do I just gpcopy only the bandpass and run both mfcal, gpcal on the secondary?

The correct command to increase the interpolation tolerance is:
puthd in=2333-528.2100/interval value=0.625
The 0.625 arises because value is specified in days. This method is described more fully in the Miriad Users Guide:

Okay, thanks Jamie. I'll keep that in mind for next time.
I worked around it by doing an initial flagging in pgflag with options=nocal,nopol, getting most of the RFI out, then gpcal on 2333-528.2100 to generate its on solutions, and then pgflag etc. uses the gain tables in 2333-528 and no data after 12 hours is "flagged".
