Re: 6cm band bandpass ripple

Follow-up note: This error turned out to be introduced by accidental inclusion of a small amount of array setup data (i.e. pre-acal, dcal, pcal) in the 1934 calibration process.

Re: Memory size issue with INVERT?

Hi guys,

Yep --- you're right about the mosaic of course. I was getting a few artifacts in my image so I was playing around with various parameters to see what difference it made. All sorted now though. We'll call this resolved!

Cheers,
Craig.

Memory size issue with INVERT?

Hi guys, I'm trying to jointly image a 32 pointing mosaic in L band. However, I get the following problem: Reading the visibility data ... Making MFS images Visibilities accepted: 69360968 ### Warning: Visibilities rejected: 2064250 Number of pointings: 32 ### Informational: Interpolating beam model...

Re: SELFCAL produces bad gain table?

Thanks Mark - this was fixed by a mirsync (and thanks for fixing my mirsync issue too!).

MIRSYNC fails

Hi guys, All of a sudden when I try to run a mirsync, it fails. I get: $ mirsync -u and460 Updating Miriad files from the ATNF master at and460@venice.atnf.csiro.au:/nfs/atapplic/miriad/... and460@venice.atnf.csiro.au's password: /usr/local/bin/rsync: Command not found. rsync: connection unexpectedl...

SELFCAL produces bad gain table?

Hi guys, I have a bunch of sources observed at 3cm that I ran through a normal calibration on, up to and including the secondary gain calibration. I then applied the cal to the sources with UVAVER. I now want to self calibrate. I split two of the sources out of the master uv file. I ran selfcal on t...

Cross applying flags between baselines

Hi guys, I want to take the existing flagged channels and times from a given baseline and polarization and cross-apply them to all other baselines and polarizations: e.g. select Stokes I on baseline(1)(2), then apply the flags for each flagged channel and time to Stokes I, Q, U & V on every othe...

My bad - I was using radians not degrees. Sorry!

Using the 'tin' functionality in REGRID

Hi guys, I have an HI image of a large part of the sky in one wavelength, and a much smaller continuum radio mosaic. The continuum mosaic is in NCP coordinates. I am trying to REGRID the HI image to the same coordinate system as the continuum mosaic. So I specified the 'tin' parameter in REGRID to b...
