Thanks Jamie and Mark.
It is good to hear that we can achieve 10% uncertainty at 3mm.
On the same topic, is there a way to determine what the % flux uncertainty is after the observations?
Thanks
Catarina

General primary flux calibrator question...
Hello,
I was told the absolute flux uncertainties for CABB are:
at 3 mm: 30 to 50%
at 7 mm: 10 to 20%
at 15 mm: 5 to 10%
at 3, 6cm: 5%?
Have these values changed? and what were the absolute flux uncertainties before CABB?
Thanks
Catarina

Calculating the total uvrms over the observation
Hello everyone, I thought this might be helpful for other people... The output from UVRMS looks something like this: Measured RMS: 0.782 Expected RMS: 1.19 Which is the measured RMS of a single channel for a single 10s integration in Jy. To calculate uvrms over the observation, the Measured RMS need...

Beam size and position angle
Hello Jamie, This is a general question. Is there a way of finding the beam size and position angle from the uv data? I would normally use INVERT, RESTOR, or IMFIT to get the values. But for a particular set of 7 mm data, when I include ca06 it doesn't calculate the beam size or position angle if ce...

IMFIT - gaussian fitting
Hi Jamie,
When you do a gaussian fitting with IMFIT. It prints out a peak value +/- an error and a total integrated flux value with no error.
What is the error value for the total integrated flux?
Is there a way to calculate that value?
Many thanks,
Catarina

Re: UVAMP
Hi Jamie,
Is there an easy way of finding the "offset" of a source? I know the offset of one of the sources, but not the other.
Many thanks,
Catarina

UVAMP
Hi Jamie,
If I have two sources on an image, and I am trying to create a uv amplitude plot for each of them separately.
How do you ensure that uvamp is creating a plot for one of the sources?
Many Thanks,
Catarina

Re: bandpass 12h limit
Hi Jamie,
That sorta makes sense. Though when I used uvplt to see the data, there was only flagged data.
thanks,
Catarina

bandpass 12h limit
Hi Jamie, You told me last week that the bandpass needs to be taken within 12 hours of the gain and flux calibrator, otherwise MIRIAD would not apply the bandpass correction. I was re-reducing data with the new script, and I noticed that after gpcopy of the bandpass to the flux cal (planet), the flu...

Blflag selgen option
Hi Jamie,
When I use blflag with axis=channel, amp and options=nofqav, selgen. The file created by selgen is blank. However, when I use axis=time, amp and options=nobase, selgen; the file has the flagged information.
Does selgen work with nofqav?
thanks,
Catarina
