Re: "Fatal Error: Bad value for size, in MemAllop"

It probably was the size of the cube, but I've ended up not doing selfcal as my signal to noise isn't good enough. Thanks for the reply though!

"Fatal Error: Bad value for size, in MemAllop"

When trying to run selfcal I get the following error: "Fatal Error: Bad value for size, in MemAllop" Looking at https://www.cfa.harvard.edu/sma/miriad/wbcorrTest/downLoad/NewFormat/miriad-sma3.1.2/src/subs/mem.f it seems that the error is caused by miriad not having enough memory to perfor...

Re: uvlin set to order=1 but producing 2nd order continuum?

Arg... I figured it out :(

I was looking at HI and I thought the features were isolated enough (in channels) that uvlin would make the fit around them. Turns out it was trying to fit to my absorption features. I blocked out the offending channels and it all seems fine now. Thanks for your help!

Re: uvlin set to order=1 but producing 2nd order continuum?

Thanks for that Mark. I'm not sure what you mean by Try plotting the real or imaginary component and see if the problem goes away. When I plot real and imaginary I can't see the problem but surely it's still there? The higher order continuum components are causing my profiles in my end data cubes to...

uvlin set to order=1 but producing 2nd order continuum?

Hi all! I'm using uvlin to generate a continuum image from my uv data. Input into miriad: Task: uvlin vis = g340.79-1.02.1420.5.6 out = g340.79-1.02.1420.cont.uvlin.terminal order = 1 mode = continuum Notice order = 1 Then in uvspec: Task: uvspec vis = g340.79-1.02.1420.5.6 stokes = xx,yy interval =...

Pgflag: All channels dim every 30 seconds?

See attached screen shot Info on me: I'm a MRes student, not new to miriad but new to pgflag and data reduction Data info: ATCA, 1420MHz (HI) of a point source (G334.72-0.65 in the screen shot but also seen in G336.49-1.48). The pattern is seen at all baselines. Only seen for observations on 2 May 2...
