Really removing gain corrections

Post by len067 »

Hi All,

Just by accident I found that removing the "gains" file in a miriad data or simply checking for its non-existence does NOT necessarily ensure that there are no gain corrections being currently applied for that dataset. Gain corrections determined via mfboot, for example, can be stored in the "header" file for that dataset (since it just involves a small number of corrections). The correct way to remove gains corrections is:

delhd in=visdataset/gains

Where visdataset is the name of your miriad dataset.

Cheers,

Emil.

Would this also be required to use for leakage and bandpass?
